Building peace - may take practice

Creating change may be easier by focusing on practicing a new habit in the place of the old one. Substituting a new behavior can be easier than trying to just stop an old habit. Don't think of the white elephant - the old standard to demonstrate how saying don't do something tends to immediately lead to thinking about doing that thing you weren't supposed to think about.

"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process

Gradually changing opinions

Slowly eroding old barriers

Quietly building new structures."

-John F. Kennedy

Posts about building new habits or other change:

Building peace may take communication and planning with a diverse team that is ready to modify the plan as needed. Optimists may live longer, maybe they are getting more done because they believe more is possible.
